Our country location has been a HUGE hit and very wonderful place to shoot! I cant wait for this Fall to get super cute engagements with the leaves changing colors. This past week has been totally crazy. I have more than enough shoots to blog about and Im getting behind to where I should just claim Blog Bankruptcy. But, Im not
We shot Courtney and Keiths engagements last Monday and it could not have been a better day. The sun was perfectly setting behind our tree line and the bugs were coming out to play! Cyrus, their Dogo Argentino, was super well behaved and has convinced me he was worth driving out to California for! Jared and I have been looking at these beautiful pups for about a year now and I definitely think Im in love.
Here are some of my favorites from their shoot!

I think this last photo deserves some magazine time in a Sunglasses ad!
Now we are off to shoot Sarah and Brians wedding downtown Granville!
Back from VACA and ready to go!! While on our vacation we did a shoot at Wrightsville Beach North Carolina. Its in Wilmington which is on the southern end of NC. The weather was great, beach was fantastic, and the couple was stunning! (of course, right?!?) That combo never fails! So on with the story… I like to refer to these photos as “pre-engagement” photos. Why, you may ask?!? Well, since you’re sooo interested I will tell you why. Its simply because they are not fooling anyone! Jesse, the young lad, is head over heals for Joanna, and Joanna can somewhat tolerate Jesse… sooo its a perfect match!! (I kid, I Kid)
In all seriousness they are just great for each other!
Heres a little background info on the two:
Joanna is a sweet little southern bell. She has a warm and pleasant personality, and she is a blast to be around! She just finished up with her degree in nursing and is currently in hot pursuit of employment. With her low fatality rate I dont see how she wont get snatched up right away!! (again, I joke!)
Jesse on the other hand is this outrageous, ruthless, boisterous… wait a sec, I was looking at the antinomes in my thesaurus. (I joke again, im on fire, en fuego as they say in the kitchen of Chipotle.) He’s actually a very laid back, easy going intellectual/shark tooth hunter extraordinaire. No joke, he found eight sharks teeth on the beach that day!!! One was as big as my head …that may be an exageration but still…
He just finished up with his degree in clinical research and has a possible job op in DC. (He also said his friends call him Pina, as in Pina Colada, dont ask me why :/)
Now for the photos:

For my fellow, loyal blog followers, I bring to you an announcement…..Ahem…..IM GOING ON VACATION!!
Im so excited to be able to hit the beach in my polka dot bikini, sip on a fruity smoothie with a tiny umbrella in it and just hang loose. We have a lot of super fun events planned…like shark fishing! Ever been? I honestly hope we dont catch and big one. Eww.
I will be, of course, taking LOTS of photos. Especially of my little cousin Olive. When I return, I have a few blog posts to throw up of some super rad families! I also will be bringing to you “favorites friday”. Every Friday I (or Jared) will post our five favorite things from that past week. Im really excited about these posts because I really want our clients to get to know us on an even more personal level. Some may be extremely goofy, and some may be really serious. But hardly ever is the Jacobus Duo seeerrious.
For this blog being neglected for the next week and a half. Please add me on Facebook! I constantly update on facebook!
Here is whats to come…

Everyone enjoy your week!!
Love, nerves and happiness was in the air…you could taste it. I dont know if you have ever tasted these feelings, but they are DELICIOUS on a wedding day. Jared and I arrived at the church promptly at 2′o clcok pm. I located the girls dressing room where I found our bride eating some yummy Tim Hortons soup. As the dress slipped on, shoes sparkled and nerves and emotions errupted, it was time to get married.

As the nerves went away and they became Husband and Wife, the day couldnt have been more perfect!
Veronica found me through the loverly Laura Conners!! Laura has been so great to us, bringing us new clients, and hiring us to be able to capture Jack in his first year!! Thank you Luara!!
Veronica and Aaron have SUCH a wonderful family. Their kids were super easy to work with and posed for me without me even having to ask! I loved working with them!!
Here are a few samples from their day!

Jen and Adam were a super fabulous couple to shoot with! Jared and I originally met with Adam and he booked us right on the spot. The first time we met Jen was at the engagement session due to her just moving here from Florida!! I had the great opportunity in meeting Jen’s daughter Michelle too! What a sweet heart!

And what do you think about the new blog tag that Cathy and David Bock made for us? They also designed our logo!!
