Jared and I shot Nicole and Brian in the Short North art district and Goodale Park! We had such a wonderful day of shooting with them and some of the best times getting to know them. Nicole and Brian both work at Abercrombie and Fitch corporate center and I think they should be the models…They were FABULOUS!

And to end, one of THE MOST asked for poses from the Jacobus Duo:

McKenzie and Kevin are the sweetest, most genuine, loving couple! They have an adorable son named Kegan who turns 1 year soon! They held their wedding at St. Francis Assis church and reception at North bank Park Pavilion! I love shooting downtown weddings. There is always lots of opportunity to shoot!

Stacy and Trent have such a beautiful relationship and I could see it clearly from the first time we met them. Trent is completely head over heels for Stacy and has no problem showing his love and affection towards her! Their wedding took place at the Simon Kenton Inn on a BEAUTIFUL September day. No one could have asked for nicer weather then what we received! I had the hardest time preparing this blog due to an over amount of fantastic portraits! Stacy and Trent, thank you so much for hiring the Jacobus Duo for your wedding day. I hope all of your friends and family enjoy this sneak peek blog entry!

When I first spoke with Jen she was trying to plan her Ohio wedding from Florida. Adam took care of most of the meetings for the two of them while Jen just patiently waited to marry the man of her dreams. Jen and Adams ceremony and reception took place at the Dawes Arboretum in Newark Ohio. It is SUCH a fantastic place to have a wedding, except when it rains. Jen and Adam were married on Monday September 7th 2009, Labor Day and it rained the entire time! Luckily Jen has such amazing friends and family they decorated a room in the visitors center and created a WONDERFUL ceremony for the two of them. Here are a few images from there wedding day.

Jen and Adam opted for a “first look” to get pictures taken care of before the ceremony!

I want to start out the blog with a BANG! Jared and I are heading out to NYC next month to attend an ultra fantastic workshop by Lawrence Chan . I cant wait to see what his knowledge, poured all over us, will do for our business.
The last 2 weeks the Jacobus Duo has had 9 bridal consultations and we booked all 9 of them! I must say, we have some of the most amazing clients to work with!! 2010 is going to rock out big time and I cant wait to see whats it store for Jared and I on our crazy adventure.
Lets get right to the point here. Its Five Faves Friday and I have about 15 to work with. But, I will narrow it down for you!
#1…My TOP Fav for the week is Rachel Zoe. She is an absolute genius in the fashion industry. I could watch her show all day long and never move. I’m just so mesmerized at her ability to handle the stress and complications that come with dressing starts for the Red Carpet!
#2…Personal Trainers. This week Jared and I hired Jake from Lifestyle Family Fitness and he whipped our butts!! This is just what we need to get us into tip top shape! I’m extremely sore this morning and that’s what I like to feel!
#3…Ankle Booties. The HOTT new thing this fall put with a strong shoulder tux jacket and you are ready to go!
#4…Live with Regis and Kelly. Okay, I know this one is semi random but I LOVE Kelly!!! If I was told I could meet anyone in the world, it would be her. We could totally be BFF’s. Her energy, corkiness and ability to be goofy and confident in front of the world needs to be recognized. Not to mention those super buff arms of hers!!! She work the CUTEST Club Monaco Cassidy silk shirt the other day and I just have to have it!
#5…NYC. There is nothing like shopping the boutiques in the NYC streets. Nope. Nada.

Here is a sneak peek at the next few blog posts I have for you!

Sam Bish, a little boy who attends our home church was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. He is in much needed prayer and Im asking you to take a moment and just lay your hands towards this young boy! This past Sunday our congregation gathered at the Bish home to pray around him and his family. Im so thankful to be apart of such a wonderful, caring church. Jared brought our camera and snapped a few shots for the church. But, before I post the images, I’d like to share with you a note his mother wrote a few weeks ago.
Our son Sam is a wonderful young man who is 8 years old. He will be 9 in January. He is going into the 3rd grade in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Sam had been having some pain in his right knee most of this summer (2009). As the pain increased we realized that something might be wrong and we made an appointment for him to see an Orthopedist on 8/10/09. At this doctors appointment an X-ray was done of Sam’s leg/knee and it showed that there was a mass that the doctor believed to be cancerous. Samuel went into the hospital just a few days later for a series of tests. He received a cat scan, MRI, and also a full body scan. Our family met with the pediatric oncologist the following day and Samuel was diagnosed with a type of cancer called Osteosarcoma (stage 4). The cancer is in his right knee and it has also spread to both of his lungs. This is an agressive type of cancer and it will be treated with agressive forms of chemo. We are asking everyone to please lift up our litle boy Samuel Gordon Bish in prayer. We pray for healing!! We serve a mighty God and we know that HE can heal Sam if that is his will for Sam’s life. Please be prayer warriors along with our family as Sam starts this very difficult journey in his young life.
Today’s date is August 16th, 2009 and all this has happened in 6 days. His first appointment was on Monday the 10th and by Friday the 14th he was in the hospital getting his Chemo-port put in his chest and a biopsy done.

Sam was having fun with his little friends

Me and my mama in law!

Please, keep young Sam close to your heart and thoughts. He, and his family need us all more than ever!! This next series of images are just a few of the awesome shots Mandy Seibert took. She is a GREAT young photographer with the love of Jesus in her heart! Love you Mandy!
