I woke up that morning with knots in my stomach. The kind where you just want to crawl back into bed and hug your teddy bear and hide under the covers. Because yes…that day was our first NIGHT wedding. Oy.

I got to the church early that afternoon so I could have time to just sit and relax. As I was waiting on the girls to arrive I played on my iPhone, went over timeline, names and places we were going to shoot. I was in my zone. I heard the girls walking through the halls and I instantly got excited. They seemed to be chatting and laughing and discussing details that had gone wrong that morning. Ya know….Holly misplaced her wedding shoes…trolley was now a fun bus. The usual things that happen on wedding days. Oh, and no fear, she totally found her shoes. No bare foot bride THAT day! I greeted the gorgeous gals with a smile and went about my business shooting details. And oh how many there were too shoot. Ahhh, yes. I dont know why I was nervous at all! Im so glad they went with night time portraits and forced us to try something new. Now, I might just recommend people doing it.
