It was an odd morning. I woke up naturally like I always do but this time it was dark. I checked my phone for the time and read it at 6:13 am. As moan and groans passed through my head I made the decision to get up and begin my day. We’d been comfortably living without the heat or air on for about a month now but this particular morning felt cold. I quickly hopped into my warm robe and fuzzy pink slippers and made my way to the coffee pot. After waiting what felt like hours, but realistically only 10 minutes, my coffee was ready. I poured myself a mug and made my way to the living room. I cracked the blinds to watch the sun come up over the trees. And there it was. Frost. The sun hit the tips of the icy grass ever so lightly creating a brilliant sparkle. With each minute the sun came up the frosty blades started to melt creating a sea of shimmer across the yard. In awe I took sips of my hot coffee, basked in the light and shivered at the chilly ground. Yes, Fall is here. Here is to the upcoming Holidays, the wonderful baked goodies in the oven and the little dabbles into frosty mornings.
