Lauren and Bryan | Married Part 1

It was a scorching hot day. Muggy day. A day where you don’t want to smell your dog after he’d been hit by a skunk. Well, the day we met Lauren and Bryan was THAT day. Our meeting took place on the back patio of our porch. The lemonade was poured and the hummus was ready to be devoured. My dog, only two nights before, had been sprayed by a skunk-worst night of my life. The beautiful couple came in, had a beverage with us and no one ate the hummus but me. You see, I was on a Greek food kick. I ate Gyros 3 times a week at the little hole in the wall up the road while our house was being constructed. Anyways, we got chatting with this devine couple and learned from watching them and their actions that they were truly in love. I couldn’t count how many time I’d catch Bryan just watching Lauren with a giant smile. Or when Lauren was playfully tease with Bryan. It something called love, and they had it!

When we shot their engagements it was such an awesome time to get to know the two. Bryan was just recovering from a collapsed lung! Poor guy! I tried to be careful with my crazy scenarios after that.

Lauren and Bryan are not only building and constructing a relationship together, but building and reconstructing their first home together. From experience, renovating your first home with your newlywed is a great way of building up a relationship. You’ve got excitement, joy, decisions to make TOGETHER, frustration, trial runs, errors, reconstructions, failures and success. But getting through all this will make your stronger, lover deeper, and appreciate harder.

Okay so enough deep lovey dovey, I just had to get it out because, well, that’s me! Poor Jared right?!? Any who, you might be wondering why this post says PART 1! Well, to better explain it…its in 2 parts! This is what happens when you get me shooting a BEAUTIFUL outdoor wedding, irresistible light, a Bride and Groom willing to do ANYTHING for pictures, details GALORE and a fan-freakin-tastic bridal party who laughs at my jokes. Seriously, they laughed at me, or should I say with me! Doesn’t matter, I made them laugh.

The ceremony took place at the Rattlesnake Ridge Golf Club in Sunbury, Ohio

Jaaci and Matt | Wedding!

I woke up different that morning. I was refreshed. Energized. Excited. FEARLESS! It was the morning after I had just written my epic post about getting over some of my fears. I was ready to take on anything. Jared and I prepared our minds and reached deep down into our creative thinking. I surrounded myself with some of my favorite artists, turned on my energizing techno and began sipping away at the largest coffee mug ever. We gathered our gear up the night before so everything was ready to toss into our car at the last second. Jaaci and Matt’s wedding took place in Defiance, Ohio which was about 2 hours and 45 minutes away from our little home. I was excited to to be able to spend a nice long car ride with Jared with nothing to bother us-except maybe the officer who pulled us over for speeding, but that’s neither here nor there. I thought about how I want to be different. In my business and my personal life. I came up with some pretty awesome stuff and I’m super excited to be applying it starting this week! But, that’s a whole other blog post. I met Jaaci through her sister Tori! I shot their family pictures last fall and what an adorable family!

We arrived at St. Pauls United Methodist Church, saw we had some extra time and decided to grab a quick bite to eat at Subway! I couldn’t have asked for a better day to be shooting. The sun was out with warm soothing heat that brushed across your face and Vitamin D was hittin’ ya where ya needed it! I loved everything about this day and Ive been very excited to get these pictures up for a sneak peek!

Ashleigh Ignelzi | Sports Reporter and MUA!

When I first met Ashleigh on March 20th 2010 I knew right away we’d be great friends. She was like coming in contact with a great bottle of champagne. Bubbly, Sparkly and Elegant. Ashleigh was doing the makeup of one of my brides, Tara. We chatted it up about some makeup tips, sports and her background. Ashleigh is an avid sports lover and a pretty darn good sports reported. She has a pretty sweet blog, The Foxy Frenzy, where she does lots of weekly updates! If you love sports, you reaalllly need to check her out!!

Ash and I contacted each other a month later when Ashleigh really wanted to get some updated head shots! I was beyond thrilled to work with her again and I knew right away her pre-camera experience would a breeze to work with! “I just trigger my inner-Beyonce” said Ashleigh. And let me tell ya, this girl knows how to WORK IT!

Ashleigh’s Bio:

” A native of Columbus, Ashleigh graduated from Otterbein College and started her career with the Ohio News Network as a host and reporter on the Average Joe Sports Show. Currently, Ashleigh works as a remoter reporter for ESPN the Magazine, she covers professional sports in Ohio , including the Cleveland Cavaliers, the NFL, MLB. This season Ashleigh joined the Columbus Crew as their online video host. In addition to her work with ESPN the Magazine and the Columbus Crew, Ashleigh serves as an online video reporter with ColumbusWired.net, where she provides coverage of the Columbus Blue Jackets, professional golf, and Ohio State football.
In addition to her reporting Ashleigh, has a love for cosmetics on top of years of experience in makeup artistry for special events and more importantly wedding makeup. Although the combination of a makeup loving, sports reporter is a rare one, it has presented Ashleigh with many wonderful opportunities to display her skills on the wives of very talented athletes.
One would guess a sports crazed, sports reporter would have an inner tomboy? Certainly, not the case. Ashleigh claims to have the World’s largest nail polish collection!

Brittany and Tony | Married

When Jared and I walked into Panera to meet Brittany and her Mother for the first time I got really excited. I saw Brittany standing there with a beverage in her hand and I knew right away she was my next bride. He personality shined through skin and her Mother was as sweet as could be. We had a fun filled meeting with me, like normal, spilling over my excitement, tipping over my drink and shifting the table. I was a complete mess haha! To top it off when we were leaving I had placed my drink on the roof of my car and drove off. We then passed Brittany and her Mom as they are laughing and waving. Yes, I AM that dorky!! And yes, my clients love me for that…so I hear

Megan and Robert | Wedding

Where do I even begin. We’ll start with 1. I had originally had over 100 photos starred to post on the blog and trying to condense was a night mare. 2. I love Megan and Robert to DEATH! 3. They had a super sweet bridal party who actually somewhat laughed with me…or at me. I couldn’t tell. But either way, they were LAUGHING! In all seriousness though, I really enjoyed arriving to Megan and Roberts wedding. Megan greeted me with open arms and a HUGE smile on her face. We chit chatted a little before putting on her dress and then we got started. Megan was what I like to call, the most coolest laid back bride ever. Pictures were a priority to them so they were will to do whatever I asked them to do. Well, maybe not ANYTHING but for the most part haha!

Her dress had pockets….How cool is that??

Anne and Jeff | Wedding

Anne and Jeff were so wonderful to get to know. Their both laid back personalities and fun friends made the day go by so fast. We enjoyed meeting their family and cant wait to work with them again in the future. Anne and Jeff’s wedding took place at the Ohio State house in Columbus Ohio. The ceremony was beautifully decorated and the reception, held just a few steps away, was decorated so very elegant. Later on in the reception Brutus the Buckeye made an appearance and dance with everyone for about an hour. What a cool surprise if you’re a Buckeye fan!
