Alicia and Von, I feel like Ive connected with long lost siblings with you two. From the first time we met I knew your wedding was going to be exquisite and fun! I couldn’t have asked for a better couple that day. You were so brave in facing arctic like weather when it was time for outdoor shots. The details were phenomenal and I’m just so impressed Alicia designed it all! One of the moments that stick out most to me about your wedding was how welcoming everyone was to me. Its so nice working with a party who treat you like one of the gang. Your friends deserve a serious high five!!

The day of the winter wedding I arrived to the Pinnacle 20 minutes early. I was super excited to have the chance to photograph the reception details before anyone else got to see it. As I shot details and waiting for Alicia and her Bridemaids to arrive I couldn’t help but think of how beautiful Alicia was going to look. Especially in her fabulous dress from La Jeune Mariee bridal boutique. When the girls arrived Alicia and I greeted each other with excited little squeals! We got her into her dress and started on with the portraits.

During the ceremony it was so awesome to see such beautiful people so in love with one another. From Dad giving his daughter a hand off kiss to Von tearing up during vows. My heart began to sing with Joy. And that feeling will never get old….

Old Man Winter!

Why hello Internet! So wonderful to finally be updating again. I’m sure my Grandparents down in sunny Florida have been dying to see an update from me. Well, Paps and Grams ( I have 2 sets down there ), its colder than sittin’ bare bum on an iceberg up here and we’re expecting our 3rd winter storm in 1 and a half weeks today! YAY! *cue sarcasm*.

Although I cringe in the blistering cold I have to say that this will make for more awesome skiing and snowboarding today. Jared is going to try and teach me how to ‘board today. Yes, I am a ski snob and proud of it! I’m also very excited for this week because I have 4 awesome dates this week with 4 awesome photographers!! They are bright and shining stars!

Over the week Ive shot at 2 different venues to help them get up and on their feet, built a giant 10 foot snowman, landed my first jump on skis (got 12 inches off the ground)….don’t laugh….ate more chocolate and carbs than I ever have in my life, found out I’m living with a mouse *blehhkk*, watched Jared work on the new upcoming gallery room, and pretty much relaxed!! The great thing about winter is it gives us photographers a chance to re -charge our built in batteries for the new upcoming season. Jared and I have been dabbling into some new shooting that I’m super excite about and want to get the ball rolling….like NOW!!! More to come on that super soon!

Meet Dash

Dashell Robert Parr, better known as Dash, is our 5 year old mutt pup! Dash gets treated like a little babyand I even sometimes find myself talking to him like an adult. He sits there and stares at me like he has EVERY clue in the world of what I’m talking about. We cuddle, we play, we sing together and love on each other. He is my antidote to a bad day and an added joy to my good day. Here are some pictures of us playing in the snow yesterday!

Stunning. The only word to describe this beautiful winter German Village wedding. As I walked into the house where the girls had decided to get ready, I saw Sarah sitting in her chair by the beaming window light just glitzing in the sunshine. A huge grin sang from ear to ear as she was constantly being praised for her beauty. I took the girls to Schiller Park in Columbus for their very brisk portraits. As the girls are shivering and shaking , Sarah looked as if she was mentally somewhere warm. She rocked her bridal portraits and I cant wait for you to view them below. Jared was with the guys hanging out at Gordon Biersch and taking pictures around the Nationwide arena area.
